Behind the Scenes: Vineyard Update

September in the vineyard is all about watching and waiting — and a little bit of science.

Right now our vines are in full veraison, the moment when the grapes start changing color and building sugar. We've been tracking everything through our on-site weather stations and NDVI satellite imagery, keeping a close eye on disease pressure and vine health block by block. Between the cover crops coming in and the data telling us the vines are right on track, this growing season is shaping up to be one we're really proud of.

The 2025 vintage is almost ready. Summer mornings in the rows remind us exactly why we started doing this.

Vines are recovering from the frost better than expected. All the little mustard plants in the vineyard rows are really taking off. Soon beautiful yellow flowers.

Frost hit the vines hard this morning. Luckily they have a backup, Secondary buds! Hopefully that's the end of below freezing temps 😎
