PA Little Acres Homestead We began our journey in 2020 with 8 chicks, added goats in 2021 and turkeys in 2022.

Located in Chambersburg PA, our little homestead consists of ADGA register Nigerian Dwarf goats, a handful of turkeys and a number of chickens that we free range.

Rose woke up today and chose to add a little chaos to my day. 🤣

Little miss is in heat and has spent her evening teasing the boys from the other side of the fence.

Rose: “Heyyyy boys… 😘”
The boys: “MOM!!! LET US OUT!!!”
Me: “Absolutely not.” 😂🐐

Never a dull moment around here! That section of their yard has now officially been closed until the ALL the girls are out of heat 😆 🤣

The minute I walk into the run, Star and Moonbeam are at my feet. Moonbeam stays close, but Star takes it one step further and somehow manages to wiggle her way between my legs every single time. 🤦‍♀️🐐

Wouldn’t have it any other way, though. ❤️

Apparently Ethel has been assigned a new job… Afternoon Mealworm Supervisor. 🦃🤣

Her responsibilities include:
• Knowing exactly when mealworm delivery is due

• Tracking down the human responsible for said delivery

• Making it VERY clear that sitting on the patio is unacceptable when there are hungry birds waiting 😂

I glanced over and for just a split second thought I was looking at her mama, Love. ❤️

Then I realized… nope. That’s my baby girl Moonbeam. 🥹

Ten months. Every. Single. Day. Hand Milking. 🐐🥛

Two weeks ago, I finally switched my girls to every-other-day milking — not because I need less milk or because they were producing less, but because after 10 straight months of daily milking, this woman needed a break. 😂

And apparently the girls said, “Fine. We'll just save it up for you.” 🤣

Still getting a FULL bucket every other day!

It really is all about supply and demand…and thankfully, Rose and Crumb Cake adjusted beautifully. ❤️🐐
