I know you can't tell how big this bucket is but trust me...she's big! Full of basil!!!

My house smells so yummy and my freezer will be very happy once I blend this with a little oil and pack them into ice cube trays. I just pop one in my tomato sauce and it is just the right amount of fresh tasting basil!!!

Good news. Tomorrow we will have cucumbers, zucchini (big ones you could use for bread?), green peppers, green beans and tomatoes (that still need a little ripening on the counter).

Bad news. Someone already was dishonest at the garden and took items without paying. Please do not do this. It really ruins it for us (I actually enjoy gardening and helping people out with super affordable produce) and it will ruin it for the community too. Keep your integrity in tact. If you need help with food and can't pay please just let us know and we will gladly let you have whatever you need. It is just a gut punch thinking that people are just taking because they can and don't want to pay.

Anyways, enjoy the fresh produce and feel free to pick anything else in the garden you want! Check out the attached video to introduce yourself to pepper you may have never heard of!

We also have zucchini, green peppers, green beans, radish, herbs and a few cucumbers you can pick too!! Have fun shopping in the garden!

Success!! For a while Eliana only enjoyed eating sweet gerkin pickles..now she eats all kinds of pickles! (That's my girl!).

Anywho...I did a thing. I made my own sweet gerkins with pickles from our personal garden. They taste just like the real thing!!! It only took 5 days and a good amount of vinegar and sugar!

My mom also came up this past week and we made some sweet garlic dill pickles. Canned 4 pints. Ummm delicious!!!! We have plenty of pickling cucumbers for you to try to make some for yourself! Takes about 20 minutes! We have the cucumbers (a bag for $4 which will make at least 4 to 5 pints), the dill ($2 for enough to make your batch of pickles) and the recipe (free) if you are vying for some homemade pickles!!!
