Basil time!! The only thing in Eliana's garden that is ready for harvest is basil.

Basil is great to make pesto, bruschetta, infused oil, fresh spaghetti/pizza sauce or even to make a margherita pizza.

When harvesting make sure to cut above the node so that we don't kill the plant. Cutting above the node allows for side shoots to produce more basil for a continuous harvest (and a bushier plant) and prevents the plant from bolting (going to seed).

Check out the video to see what a node is and to hear Eliana's favorite thing about basil!!

Next up to harvest will most likely be radishes with green beans to follow. We will let you know when for sure!

Elianas garden is underway. We spread fresh compost in rows. Then I filled a 5 gallon bucket with mulch approximately 120 times and dumped it in the walkways.

Today Eliana planted some marigolds and when the weather gets warmer we will plant out tomatoes, peppers, green beans, zucchini, cucumbers and some herbs.

Eliana's Garden is a YOU pick whenever garden.

This year we are doing 25 cents per item (tomato, pepper, zucchini, etc), $1 per quart of anything or $3 for a bag of whatever plus any other donations or notes of encouragement you wish to leave. The donations all go towards next year's garden and also a community service project for Eliana (tbd).

Stay tuned for more pictures and information.

Our family has loved serving our local community over the last few years. Getting to know some of our tried and true customers has been a blessing.

Our small garden turned into a greenhouse and we quickly grew our passion for growing beautiful flowers and vegetable plants into something we were very proud of.

However, this year we decided as a family that we needed more time. As we all know time is the most precious thing you can have for yourself and also give to others. So...

We sold the greenhouse.

It is both heart wrenching and exciting for our family.

We are going to miss seeing all of you and sharing our passion for healthy plants and gardening but we also know you will understand that family comes first.

Even though we won't be able to sell you plants anymore we will still be planting Eliana's Garden behind our stand that you can stop by to pick up some produce when the harvest comes in. We will post more about this when the time comes.

We will still be growing our own vegetable plants for our garden and may have a few extra vegetable plants to sell so keep an eye on the page. If you really really really want me to try to grow something for you (only veggie plants, no flowers) we can try to plant some extra for you and let you know when they are ready. Just message us with your wants and desires and we can see if we can make it happen for you.

Again, thank you so much for your patronage and as always, happy planting!
