We admit it. We love cocktails! We love learning about the history of the Sidecar. We love peeling just the right zest for that Sazerac. We love sitting at a bar and talking details with an enthusiastic mixologist. But most of all, we love drinking cocktails. That isn't so bad, is it? That perfect blend of freshly squeezed or muddled fruit, herbs, liquor, infused syrups, and, of course, flavor extracts/bitters. It's all about balance and flavor extracts are key in providing the sensory offset of the sweet fruit or liquor to create that balance. Bitter flavor extracts do so much more than just provide "bitterness". They create a complexity and depth to a cocktail that adds a signature note. Ever have a sip of a Manhattan and wonder how this would taste with a hint of smoky bacon notes or wish you had perfectly subtle cucumber and floral bitters for your Hendrick's martini? Thoughts like these drove us to take the time to infuse and blend our own bitter flavor extracts.
