My knight and I spent most of the day trenching, stretching and burying 100 X 80 ft of plastic. We have decided to go with a no till method for our row crops. We could have not asked for a better weekend to get this task done. It has rained most of the week. The soil is saturated. Next week starts the climb to summer temps with no clouds in the forecast. Couldn't have planned it better. Tomorrow we need to finish the remaining 100 X 100 ft. I'm now sitting at work. too t.i.r.e.d. to even think about it. Cross fit yesterday and trenches today.

Checked on the swales this morning. They are doing what they are suppose to do! The water makes it easier to see where we need to do some work but it was great seeing the run off in our swales and not our neighbors pasture! I've started the chop and drop into them as well. :)

It was a crazy week where we spent any free time we had getting our fruit trees in the ground. I was nervous that we wouldn't get the berm covered in mulch before the new week started. I'm happy to report that the trees have a layer of compose and mulch. The ground is so very dry, I am hoping we get the rain with the storms tonight without the severe weather. Fingers crossed.

Expecting a tree shipment today! Apple, Peach, Plum, Pear, Cherry, Pawpaw and Pecan. 37 trees to plant. More coming later in the week. Working on swales again today.
