Good morning!
We've been asked if we've changed our recipes because our new pho labels don't have the same claims such as gluten-free, non-GMO, etc.
Short answer: We have not.
Wonky answer: The USDA now inspects our chicken and beef pho, and they approve our labels. The FDA still inspects our other products (technically VDACS which operates under the FDA's umbrella). The two agencies have different requirements and approval processes. Getting USDA approval for a label with special claims is a lengthy process. We've submitted our application, but didn't want to wait for a decision. (Fun fact: pho is not a recognized by the federal government as a standard food. This is why our new labels have "Vietnamese style noodle soup.") As we work through our inventory, you will see a mix of old and new labels in the short term. Rest assured the recipes have not changed.
Speaking of change, we're phasing out our Vegan Curry. It's a great product, but demand is too low. Please don't ask us to bring it back.
