We’ve got our first ripe berries of the season and more are coming every single day! 🌿

📣 Starting NEXT WEEK we’ll be moving to ticketed picking to make sure everyone who comes out gets enough ripe berries to make it worth the trip. Stay tuned for more details!

We had some special guests at WildSide!

The Montessori School of Durham came out this week for some hands-on time in the soil🌱

We talked compost, annelids, and nematodes, planted blueberries, harvested carrots, and ate strawberries straight from the patch. They were curious, asked many excellent questions, and wowed us with their knowledge.

It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day tasks out here, but having the opportunity to share this space with kids and seeing their excitement to just harvest a carrot was a good reminder to stay present in the little things.

Pickard Mountain is coming to WildSide on Friday, May 29 from 5:30–7 pm. Bring a blanket or chair, pack a picnic, and come hang at the farm for some live music and good company. Chatham County Brewing will be on site selling beer too. Be on the look out for more details.

Two weeks ago we got to be part of the Piedmont Farm Tour 🤍

This was our 4th year, and it continues to be one of our favorite weekends of the year. We loved seeing so many new and familiar faces out here—y’all showing up for guided tours, wandering the trails, and snacking on some delish strawberries 🍓

A huge thank you to our volunteers for helping everything run smoothly—from check-in to plant sales. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

And shoutout to Chatham County Brewing for keeping everyone cool with cold, refreshing drinks all weekend long 🍻

We love kicking off our spring and summer season this way, getting to share this space and give a little glimpse into the work, the process, and the heart behind it all.

Already looking forward to next year 💛
