PlowGirl Farm Earth-Friendly Agriculture PlowGirl Farm practices earth-friendly, sustainable agriculture on a simple eight-acre plot just west of Chapel Hill.

We grow a wide range of vegetables and specialize in heirloom tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms and culinary ginger. Dingo Dog Brewing Company, a non-profit whose proceeds benefit companion animal rescue, is located in our barn. Together we've created a zero-waste facility utilizing "ugly" produce for brewing and composted spent grain and gray water for fertilizer. We also maintain bee hives and share the land with rescued animals including three goats. We work with nature, not against it, and tend the crops with a “less is more” philosophy.
