The worst part of owning and raising animals, is having to say goodbye! The second worst part, is knowing that with each passing year, your time with them is growing shorter and shorter.
Thursday we said goodbye to our precious Jazz…otherwise known as Jazzy, Jazzabelle, Jazzy Pants, Jazzy Jazz and most importantly Mama J as she was known as the herd mama, the OG! Jazz came to us as an owner surrender years ago, she was already an adult and came with several of her goat friends…Jeff the fainting goat was her bestie! Over the years she became one of our most precious girls on the ranch! Her personality was so funny and she loved treat time! She naturally was the herd matriarch, always taking care of everyone’s babies and being the best mama and grandmama she could possibly be. She gave us some of the most incredible, gorgeous babies over the years…including our sweet Winnie, Remi, and Ellie…who not only look like her, but act like her 😂 Jazz had gotten way up there in years and was content just living out her days with her daughters and the rest of the herd. She was truly the sweetest friend to us and everyone who ever met her. Her absence leaves a hole in our hearts and in our pasture…gone but never forgotten!! We love you sweet Jazz!!!!
