Reading these interviews in the July/August issue absolutely fills our hearts! Seeing our campers speak so beautifully about their experiences is a powerful reminder of why we love what we do here in the Chapel Hill community.

At the farm, our mission goes far beyond daily chores; we are dedicated to cultivating the next generation of confident, caring leaders. Through every seed planted and animal cared for, these youth are learning real-world responsibility, a strong work ethic, and what it truly means to look out for one another.

Seeing them develop both the confidence to stand tall in who they are and the empathy to be supportive community members is the greatest harvest we could ever ask for. Thank you, Chapel Hill Magazine, for capturing the true spirit of our farm and giving these incredible young leaders a platform to shine! Happy Independence Day from our farm family to yours!🌱

Today at Sunrise Community Farm Center, we are celebrating the freedom to cultivate growth, the strength of our incredible community, and the bright potential of our young leaders. Wishing you all a beautiful 4th of July filled with unity, gratitude, and joy! 🧑‍🌾✨

☀️ Summer Camp is officially in full swing, and our hearts (and gardens!) are bursting! 🌽🌻

The farm is buzzing with the pure joy of outdoor adventure. Our campers have already been busy finding crayfish on our weekly creekstomp field trips, hiking through the woods, and finding their zen with some farm yoga. 🦀🧘‍♀️

But if you ask the kids, the real magic is happening out in the pastures. Our campers are loving on all of our amazing horses—especially the newest member of our herd, Ziggy! Standing at an impressive 16-1 hands (making him just about as tall as Gala!), this gentle draft cross has already completely stolen everyone's hearts. 🐴❤️

☀️ FOOD, FUN, & FUTURE ROCK STARS! 🎸

Hey Farm Families and Neighbors! We are hosting a Community Potluck on Saturday, June 6th, and you are officially invited! Whether you want to visit the animals, share a delicious meal, or rock out to some incredible music, there’s something for everyone.

Here is the lineup for the day:
🐾 10:00 AM - Close: Free Farm Admission! Come early and enjoy the farm. (Use promo code COMMUNITY2026 to grab your free tickets!)
🍉 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM: Community Potluck. Bring a favorite dish to share and enjoy a meal with your neighbors.
⚡ 5:30 PM: School of Rock Performance. Stay for an epic show by these amazing young local musicians as they raise funds for their upcoming summer tour!

✨ Bonus for Parents: This is the perfect opportunity to tour the farm, meet our team, and see if our summer camps, minicamps, or after-school programs are a great fit for your kids. We’ll be on hand to answer all your questions!
