Mmmm. Fresh salsa! We strain our salsa and canned the juice.
Then we have chunky salsa and we use the juice to substitute for water when making tacos, enchiladas, to boil noodles for a twist on Mac n cheese, as a broth for tortilla soup...the possibilities are endless, so don't discard your " extra juice " when canning its all liquid gold.

Say hello to Pumpkin, named by our sweet Becca! Pumpkin is a young cow and this is her 1st time in milk.
She has been through ALOT the last 5 weeks!
She calved about 5 weeks ago for the 1st time, started training to be milked at her 1st farm in Texas, then this past week she was hauled part way 6 hours to another dairy to be milked until our transport picked her up and brought her the last leg of her journey home to learn yet another routine and process.

All in all she is already showing improvement these first 16 hours. She is a very pretty cow with a great udder. So all you herdshare members...this is a win for us 🥰

Yes, she is thin and will need some weight put on her. We have already started adding in more alfalfa and others supplements to help with that but it will take a long time. Here's hoping this climate suits her over the Texas heat.

Her travel buddy hasn't been named yet but we will update as soon as she is.
