17 yrs ago, we had the opportunity to borrow a horse from good friends, Jane and Jeff Mundell, so my daughter Megan could go to 4H Equestrian Camp. For Megan, it was love at first sight with Chancy. After purchasing her, we had an abundance of horse opportunities to participate in camping trips, fundraisers, trail rides, fun shows, horse competitions and various other activities throughout the years. Chancy (horse) was the best teacher for us, including not being patient sometimes 🤣. It saddens me to let you all know that we had to put her to rest due to old age complications. She would have turned 30 this month. She was such a blessing to us. Special thanks to Whitney Follmer, Sandy House, Carolina Equine Clinic, Larson Farrier, and countless neighbors and friends who have come to brush, scratch and loved on her ♥️ and for the treats she was given. Many thanks to Kristen and Lakyn for helping me celebrate her last birthday early with a horse friendly birthday cake and song 🎂. Thank you Chancy for 17 wonderful years. We love you, Baby Girl. You will be sorely missed. 😭😭💔🐴

Today while doing the morning feeding, I noticed Russell, The Love Muscle, was laying flat face down. I picked him up and he was still breathing. Since I knew this was the end, I totted him around finishing feeding everyone and talking to him letting him know he was such a good rooster. He took his final breath in my arms 💔.
His cremation ceremony will be tonight after WAMM (RHBC). His family ask that in lieu of flowers, to go hug a chicken today 🙏♥️🐓
