Please be aware, I am not being paid for this. This is more of an experiment for me to see how well this product works and I will be reporting my results to them, at their request, once the season gets closer to ending and we button up for winter.
I purchased Apivera Hive Health from Terra Vera. This chemistry, as it is often called, is a multipurpose treatment for varroa mites, bacteria and other microorganisms that live inside the hive. From the testing results I have found, this treatment appears to be very, very effective and whats left behind can be used by the bees for nutrients
I have other methods to combat varroa and this wasn't even the main reason I purchased it. If the bees have other bacteria, viruses or anything else potentially causing them illness, the bees are not at peak performance. Think of it as you going to work with a slight cold. You can work but you wont be as effective as when you're at 100%
My goal is not just honey. I want quality, healthy, strong colonies and queens to supply bee keepers in my area and hopefully further out when the time is right. If this product helps me achieve that goal then it will be added to my tool box. They're test results can be found on YouTube fairly easily. Just get used to hearing the word, chemistry 😅😅
