The Retreat Sauvignon Blanc is a Sauvignon from the Marlboro district of New Zealand.
It is the epitome of the New Zealand style, with expressive notes of grapefruit and lemon zest, and undertones of melon and mango. Its crisp texture makes this a great choice for pairing with salads, grilled vegetables or fish, and, of course, with oysters and clams on the half shell.
The rich flavors of this wine make it perfect as an aperitif and will accompany so many of your side dishes.

Duck Pond Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon. This light Pinot Noir is layered with a long finish, and mild acidity. There are lingering fruit notes (thus, the finish) of spices and red berries. It’s a traditional Oregon Pinot that you can enjoy with anything, including big seafood dishes (roast/baked salmon, particularly), poultry, red meat, and lighter pasta dishes.

What better way to take away the winter chill, than with an awesome bottle of Porto! Port wine is the epitome of a winter drink; after a hearty meal and settling in for the night, by the fire on a chilly night, pour yourself a dram or two of your favorite style port.

If you’re new to the port world; there are two basic styles of Port: Tawny- a slightly lighter and “tawny” color with hints of spice and nuttiness or Ruby- a bright vibrant “ruby red” color with a fuller rounder body and luscious ripe flavors.

These two styles then have varying degrees of complexity. Tawny port can be experienced by a basic Tawny, an aged 10, 20, 30, or 40 Year Old style, or a Colheita (kohl-hate-ah) vintage Tawny. Ruby ports can be enjoyed in the form of a basic Ruby, an LBV (Late Bottled Vintage) or in a Vintage Port. Vintage ports are only declared in exceptional vintages, and are therefore considered the best of the heap! See for yourself why these wines are world renowned!

Step back in time to December 5, 1933 – the day a thirsty nation finally legally raised a glass after 13 long years of the "great experiment" of Prohibition. December 5, 2025 marks the 92nd year of the end of the Prohibition Era and the ratification of the 21st Amendment on December 5, 1933! This Repeal Day anniversary, we're uncorking history with a special Wine Around Town tasting event.
Join us for an evening of vintage ambiance, as we celebrate the resilience of the American spirit and the rebirth of the U.S. wine industry. You'll sample a curated selection of wines, each reflecting the styles that helped shape America's post-Prohibition palate.
So please come in, partake and enjoy some very delicious wines that will showcase this historic event in the United States! Stroll the town and see what our fellow merchants have to share for the Holiday season ahead.
