Hey folks!!!! What a beautiful rain! 14 days ago I posted that we needed gentle rains....we got what we asked for...and then some. Our cover crop is thin because of a planting error....but the almost ideal weather has compensated.

Assuming nothing crazy happens over the next few hours, it looks like our cover crops will have protected our garden and I can move on to the next challenge at Oaklea....

It's time for the County Fair!

The annual Parade will be Saturday, Sept. 26, beginning at 10:30am. Please note that road closures/detours will occur earlier that morning and plan accordingly.

Well folks, sometimes as a planner you have to meet folks after hours....but fortunately I was able to travel one of my favorite fall wildflower roads out in Nanjemoy. Some of the prettirst wildflowers are blooming currently. I've always loved traveling out to this beautiful area of Charles County.

Fill your tanks with some of that liquid gold and check out Southern Maryland backroads....

I was a little nervous stopping out here. I didn't have my Nanjemoy passport and being from the goberment......I traveled incognito.....I'm comfortable posting this since I've crossed Wards Run and I'm leaving Scott's store now....

Pretty but warm evening at the Photographers meadow. So happy it is getting used.

This weekend will be the last for flowers. They are declining quickly.

Though we still have over a month to go for the photographer's meadow ar Oaklea, I did want to thank all the photographers for doing such a good job following the rules this year. We had a few issues early on, but that was 80% my fault and the result of growing pains....

I give you all grade of 96% this year. I'm giving myself a 77%. I need to improve....but Jerry is Jerry.....and Sergeant Sunflower is.....well.... you get the idea.

Here is a screen shot of one of my favorite sites to see texas wildflowers....they seem to have big issues with photographers abusing the prairie. Some really special, rare, habitat. It's a shame.

Thanks for not being "annoying", haha.
