We have been quiet on socials because we have been super busy in and out of the flower field. We are so thankful we had lots of help in the flower field last week, getting everything planted- we’re almost there 🌱

While it’s been a little slower going than we originally thought, we are hopeful and excited for the next few months of flowers! Keep an eye out for some exciting updates + announcements! 💐

Flower farming takes back seat to *real* farming this time of year. While we were hoping to have most of the flower field planted by now, we’re ALMOST there! A final couple steps (and prayers for rain) and we will be on our way 💃🏼

And in case you were wondering, we still really dislike tillage of any kind 🙊

Iowa weather isn’t making it very to harden these guys off 😅 Just a little bit longer and hopefully a few less windy days! We are anxious to get them into the ground (and out of our living room 🙊)!

A year ago we had to say goodbye to our best girl. She made us laugh every day and is also the reason we will have premature gray hair. We miss her and her shenanigans so much 🥲

The flower field was disced yesterday before the rain! Next step will be tilling and putting down w**d mat. We are getting so close! 😎

The flower field is plowed 👀

Today is sunny, windy + warm and they’re calling for rain tomorrow. Our landscape fabric has also arrived. The flower field will be ready to plant in no time! 🌱

We are very much a no-till row crop farm, so plowing this area was a bit out of our element. We are hoping to get back to our roots and experiment with cover crops in the flower field this fall!

The seedlings are growing (and our dining room is overflowing) ✨

We are almost done sowing seeds indoors, some plants are being pinched and some repotted. We are anxious to get these babies + more in the ground (and out of our dining room 🙃)!
