Just finished the first guest room in time our first family guests, Karen and Charlie. Here are a couple before and after shots of the room. Seven years in on this old house renovation and the end is in site.

Bread making time. But not just any bread. I finally got around to making a 19 Dodge Rd sourdough starter and it's got great flavor and rise. So the bread is just about as "local" as it can be. Water and starter from home, Einkorn flour grown in Colrain and ground here, and Maple Syrup from down the road. Only ingredient that came by trade winds is the sea salt. The result; hearty bread with a nice nutty flavor and just the right amount of sourdough bite, all high in protein and fiber and low in gluten. Plus a bonus that there was enough to make a pizza!

It's a winter wonderland and trails are groomed for hiking, snowshoeing and X-Country skiing. There's also a great sled run!
