Our mission is to give unwanted, abused or neglected farm animals a safe place to live out the rest of their life while providing them what they need and giving them lots of love.

This time of year I always get questions about why my horses have blindfolds on. Well they arenā€™t blindfolds, they are fly masks. And yes, they can see. The fly masks are made of a very fine mesh. Flys and gnats are attracted to the moisture around their eyes, so these help to keep those irritating pests away. In this photo PGā€™s mask is also a UV protective mask. PG is an Appaloosa. Appaloosas are very prone to eye cancers and painful eye diseases. So his mask helps to protect him from this. Now, PGā€™s partner in crime, Rugby, likes to take everyoneā€™s masks off. So itā€™s a daily chore to comb the field for PGā€™s mask and get it back on him. So there is a little lesson and a little insight to the shenanigans that go on around here daily. šŸ“ā¤ļø.

Busy day at the farm! We hosted a group of volunteers from the Hollywood Casino who painted fence boards for us. This will help us to get Noah to his new field! They did a fantastic job and never complained about the horrible heat today. We also had a tour with about 30 people. The animals and guests enjoyed it so much! Was a happy Friday!
