Good morning to all my customers, Facebook friends, and family.
The Fruit and Veggie Wagon is open Wednesday through Sunday 10am till 5pm. It is going to be a beautiful Fall week and weekend, sun shining, cool mornings, and warm afternoons.
Apples π are the Fruit of the Fall season. We have a new variety on the wagon. The apple is called a Shizuka.
It is a cross between Matsu and an old time Pippin. The flavor is sweet and crunchy. Another characteristics is that the white inside flesh does not turn brown after cutting. It also makes a delicious pie, Apple Crisp, or dumplings.
Of course we still have Jonagold, Crimson Crisp, Red and Golden Delicious, Crispin, Gala and Yorks. There is no better smell than an Apple Pie backing in the oven.
We will have our Signature Lettuce Mix on Friday along with some fresh cut Spinach and Kale.
Fall and Winter Squash make delicious casseroles, and soups. We have Acorn Squash, Butternut Squash, Delicata
Squash, and Spaghetti Squash.
Still have our Homegrown Hightunnel Tomatoes π
too. They take longer to ripen with less sunshine and those cool nights. You can also find us on Saturday
from 9am till noon. Visit us at either location on Saturday. I have only 8 Mums left and lots of pie Pumpkins and Large Pumpkins for carving for Halloween.
McCutchen's Jams, Jellies, and Condiments are fully stocked on the wagon. Now is the time to get your favorites. Our season will be closing for the Winter at the end of October.
Stop by for the best selection of Apples and Squash Jams, Jellies, and Tomatoes.
