WHAT???? Holiday party planning now??? Well, you don’t HAVE to start planning now, but I’m already getting holiday meal questions and I’ve been booking into 2027 for 2 months now. September and October are pretty full. If you want to a schedule a Thanksgiving meal or Christmas dinner/party, now is the time to secure your date! A small deposit will hold the date until we are a little closer and it’s cold. It’s hard to think of a Christmas menu in August when I’m sweating like crazy lol. Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know so that I don’t have to disappoint anyone because I’m already booked. Also, what’s with only having 3 weeks from Thanksgiving to Christmas. It’s not nearly enough time!

Roman left two weeks ago. Now Jon is leaving for GA for two weeks for training for a new job. So it will be just Me and Nova in our empty nest…😩

I made Jon secure the basement door, fix the sliding lock thing coming from the basement and he has something to help hold the front door close and more safe. It’s been so long since I have spent this much time alone. Other than a day once in a while me and Roman were always here and Jon has been here and even worked with me for almost a year, so I’m just used to having someone here pretty much all the time.

My plan is to clean and get some things organized while I have all this time on my hands. I’m pretty sure you’ll see me on social media more. I apologize now if I post too much. lol.

MAY 2027!!! Yes, I said May 2027, is booking up fast with weddings. If that is the month of your big event, you might want to schedule it soon. You can put down a small deposit to hold the date as well.

Remember, May is also Graduation, Teachers Appreciation & Nurse Appreciation week are in May and alway busy as well. It’s never too soon to book your date for May!!!

September 2027 is the next busiest. Yes it’s crazy to be scheduling that far in advance, but that’s what you have to do sometimes.

When I posted for Vedas birthday I realized I had posted all of the pics they had taken with Lisa Jennings Photography. They were taken at Vintage and Vines Mercantile at different booths. It’s was so fun because there are so many fun backgrounds and spaces that look so cool.

So if you saw my post about doing a Halloween crafting class, this was my idea. It would be a Potion Bottle or Halloween Apothecary Bottle making class. I’ve made them a few times and it’s always fun. I made all of the ones pictured here. There are a million different ways to decorate them and using different bottles gives them all a more of a one of a kind feel. I’ll provide all the supplies. Glitter, paint, glue, sticker, labels and even googly eyes! 👀Would anyone be interested in a class like this? If so, does anyone in your family or someone you know drink too much? Haha! I’m just kidding. Maybe I can find a bar or bar tender to maybe help with that part…😁 of course there would be some Saving Thyme goodies to snack on and some drinks.

I’m sooo behind on posting pics and a few jobs I didn’t get any. But better late than never, lol.

They say it takes a village to raise a child, but it also takes one to throw a Kresta Cox Hill party, hahahahaha. There was me with the food and 4x8 sign by the pool, Balloons by Byrdi with the balloons of course (that arch was huge!), there was a man roasting a pig (I did not get his name), there were custom cups and napkins, charcuterie, life size cardboard cutouts of JR & Bobby, the cake was fabulous and of course a great DJ and Bar tender. Not to mention Kresta makes several of her own food items that’s she’s known for as well. I probably missed something, lol, but I tried. Anyway, Kresta knows how to throw a party and knows who to call when she does. Thanks for trusting me with your special day and thanks for being a great friend and understanding how hard that day was :) Kresta Cox Hill you’re the best!

**I didn’t get names for the charcuterie provider, DJ or Bar Tender. Maybe Kresta can tag them. I hate to not give credit or pass along a small business**

Today was a Great Gatsby themed bridal shower and gold and glamour was the everywhere!!! From the welcome sign, to matching menus, the photo area & even a mimosa bar! It was definitely a fun party! I love being in the kitchen or cleaning up and hearing guests laughing and really enjoying themselves. You could tell that’s how people felt today. There was a lot of love in that room ❤️

I firmly believe that we should have more parties that adults dress up. It’s fun! It’s fun to get dressed up, it’s fun to see your friends and family dressed up. It always keeps the laughs and conversations going.

The shower was held at The Cottage at Northgate. I’ve catered a few events/parties here and it’s always a nice, clean and well maintained venue. They have a nice kitchen area and the staff were super friendly and helpful. They have a nice clean neutral color scheme that goes well with everything and looks nice in pictures….these things matter 😊

Thank you to Casey Rollins & Carol Rollins for giving me the opportunity to help bring your vision to reality. I was one of many that helped and it came together so well! Cierra Boggess was wonderful to work with as well.
