Holy City Shrimp Company was started in May 2013 in Murrell's Inlet, SC by two College of Charleston students. At first the company, Frick'n Fresh Shrimp, was confined to a golf cart, a few coolers, and a piece of land off Highway 17. Since then, Holy City Shrimp has expanded into North Carolina and now delivers their fresh shrimp to both households, restaurants and fish markets. In 2016, Holy Cit

y Shrimp Company was a finalist in Idea Cafe's "most innovative businesses", and they continue to maintain positive reviews from their customers. Today, they deliver to customers throughout the piedmont of North Carolina. teamed up with Captain Wayne Magwood of the legendary Magwood Shrimp Company in Mount Pleasant, SC. Wayne is a third-generation shrimper; his dad, and his grand-dad shrimped in the same inlet for decades. His boat, the Winds of Fortune, is the most photographed shrimp boat on the East Coast, and it has been featured on the cover of several magazines including The State, Mount Pleasant Magazine, and more. Although his shrimp are clean, Wayne was featured in a 2005 episode of 'Dirtiest Jobs' titled, "Shrimper." Holy City Shrimp Company strives to provide only the freshest and most sustainable shrimp possible. We look forward to setting sail for you.
