Y’all we do not have good luck with chicks. 4 out of 5 of our newest chicks are roosters. I wish I could keep them they are all gorgeous but I don’t need them. These are Wyandottes, I also have a German Bielefelder and Created Crème Legbar we are getting rid of. Please message us if you are interested.

We have an abundance of cucumbers!! One of my favorites when I was a little girl was going to grandmas and she would have a batch of refrigerator pickles and I would sneak those things again and again!! They were so yummy. So tonight Eddie and I began a tradition. We started our first batch. I hope our grands like it like I did.

And I’m drying basil. Will put into spice bottles when I get them.

We had a wonderful display of fireworks July 4th here at the farm. Thank you to our son Anthony, son in law Jonathan and grandson Lucas for such a beautiful display. Here are a few shots from the evening. I forgot how fun it was to shoot fireworks. Next year bring your lawn chairs and join us 😉😉😉.

Farm news:
We are getting ready for Red to farrow, expected date 7-8, let’s pray this heat breaks so she will not have the added stress of the hot hot temps. I’ll post when that occurs.

Potatoes and Cucumber’s are looking like we will have very soon

We have had a nest of Carolina Wrens by the RV they have fledged but we lost 2. We have buckets to catch the water from the AC and they fell in the buckets 😭😭😭. I did get to see one baby with momma trying to get it to fly.

Unfortunately we lost 2 chickens😭😭😭😭, this heat is awful and we feel like we are doing all we can to protect them but it’s just heart breaking when that happens. RIP our sweet girls. Praying this heat goes away, but I know it’s only early July.

We should have some vegetables in about 6-8 weeks or less please stay up to date with posts and shares. We are asking for your help to expand our farm. We will have potatoes, as you can see these look great, carrots, beets, tomatoes, cucumbers, and for sure lots of watermelon if you are interested in farm produce please like and follow us to stay informed of what and when we have things available.
