Yesterday marked the beginning of Summer and 9 years without my sweet mother Daniela.

Scleroderma is a rare, chronic autoimmune disease where the immune system triggers the body to produce too much collagen. This causes fibrous tissue buildup, leading to hardening, thickening, and tightening of the skin and potential damage to internal organs and blood vessels. There is currently no cure.

MUSC is one of the leading research hospitals in the South East for this disease. June is also Scleroderma Awareness Month.

This Friday a portion of our proceeds will be donated to The National Scleroderma Foundation.
