I know some of you have been waiting for it. We finally got a new T-shirt and hat order to replenish some of our apparel stock, but we also have a surprise for you!

Along with our Bullock logo and Bullock Cave shirts, we are premiering a brand new t-shirt design! In honor of one of our signature cocktails and the woman behind the incredible story, we now have Delia May’s Revenge shirts in sizes Small to 3XL.

Delia May was the wife of Gespard Leblanc, the great-great-grandfather of our owners, and the namesake of our Leblanc Vodka. The story goes that Delia didn’t like that her husband made distilled spirits in their basement and one day threw an actual cherry bomb down the steps to stop it! Windows got blown out, the still was busted, and no more distilling happened in that basement after that.

A new cocktail has resurfaced from the depths. Royce has revived one of our cocktails from the archives! 😳

A long lost cocktail, the Southside Dill has returned to our cocktail menu. This unique gin cocktail pairs our Jupiter Gin with a housemade honey simple syrup and lemon juice to create a wonderfullly drinkable gin sour. But wait… it’s called the Southside Dill, right? Yes! On top of a more typical gin sour, we add a sprig of fresh dill, 2 dashes of housemade mint bitters, and 3 dashes of housemade Smoked Salt and Sorghum bitters to add a subtle depth and complexity that will keep you coming back for more again and again.

Come and try this forgotten cocktail while it’s available, for we can only keep it revived for so long. 🍸

We had some pretty fun visitors in the shop recently! 🥃🎙️

Charles Bockway and Erin McCoy from WV Beer Roads stopped by to hang out, drink a few cocktails, and chat with Royce about all things Bullock! She covers everything from running sales at a small WV distillery to the creativity that goes into our tasting room cocktail program.

The result is Episode 113 of WV Beer Roads, along with a lovely write-up from Brilliant Stream about what we’ve been building behind the bar here in Elk City. We might be a little biased, but we especially enjoyed the part where they called our cocktails some of the “very best and most creative cocktails in the city.” 🥹

It’s almost time for our August cocktail class!

Tomorrow at 6 PM, we’ll be diving into a trio of delicious cocktails inspired by Taylor Swift, one of Royce’s favorite artists. If you want to know what each cocktail is about, here is a preview of the cocktail menu:

the 1 – This is arguably Royce's favorite song from Swift's discography. It's a cool September afternoon, driving the backroads through your hometown with the windows down, wondering how life would've looked if just one thing had gone differently. Chamomile softens the bright lemon while crisp white grape bubbles keep it light. It's comforting, familiar, and just bittersweet enough to make you smile.

seven – seven feels like growing up in Appalachia. Running barefoot through the yard, climbing the same tree every summer, catching lightning bugs after dinner, and staying outside until someone calls you home. Honey, fresh herbs, and bright citrus make this cocktail taste like late summer before school starts again. It's simple, fresh, and full of the kind of memories that never really leave you.

peace – peace is quiet in the best way. It's sitting on the porch after everyone else has gone to bed, listening to the crickets with someone you don't have to impress. Blackberry and sage bring a deep, familiar sweetness to the rye, while espresso and orange bitters add just enough warmth to keep you coming back. It's the kind of cocktail you sip slowly because there's nowhere else you'd rather be.

If you missed our special release in June, there’s still plenty of Mothman Reserve to go around

This single barrel 6 year old bourbon was this year’s West Virginia Day bourbon that we produce every year. The barrel was chosen specifically for its summer vibes, with bright orchard fruit and citrus notes out front that are complemented wonderfully by a strong rye and oak finish. It’s the perfect dram to enjoy on a warm summer evening.

This is a distillery only release, so make sure to drop by the distillery to grab a bottle before we run out as it’s flying off the shelves quick!
