hi! I just wanted to give yall a little update!

I have been working out of Salthouse Commissary Kitchen on James Island for the last few weeks, starting a new chapter of Butter Me Up! For the first time, I have dedicated bread ovens, a dough mixer, a proper work station, and use of all kinds of commercial grade equipment. All of my baked goods- especially bread- are already improving, and I have the ability to make way more of it. There are more big changes that are only a few weeks away and I’ll be telling folks more about it in person at Park & Grove tomorrow (Thursday 9/24 5:30-8:30) but for now know that things are still progressing for Butter Me Up!

With all of that said, it will mean the world to me to see your smiling faces at Park and Grove tomorrow. Every slice of cake, loaf of bread, or cookie bought is a contribution to the seriously scary endeavor of opening a small business. I love you guys, and can’t wait to keep baking for you!

Oh what a night! 💥

This week we opened our doors to host Charleston Women Magazine’s “Fall Food & Fashion” issue release party! As a kitchen full of female-led businesses, it was gratifying to see so many women in our community come together to experience our mission of creative collaboration firsthand.

Special thanks to our wonderful tenants for staying late to share their delicious creations, from savory to sweet. So grateful to have such a dynamic group of culinary entrepreneurs under one roof.

Not your average day in the kitchen! 💥

Earlier this week we welcomed Charleston Women for a photoshoot featuring some of our incredible female tenants. As a woman co-founded Kitchen, we couldn’t be happier or more proud to see so many awesome ladies working and creating alongside each other each day!

Special thanks to Local Love CHS for outfitting the shoot with some fun locally made aprons and accessories! Keep an eye out for the issue coming later this month. 🧡
