They’re small, but growing! And it’s a good sign. They’re not dead! 😁.

It’s hard work..and some things don’t always go smoothly (like the mowers breaking down)…but we keep on keeping on!

Getting the mowers fixed next week..and hopefully the grass won’t get too tall. It absolutely drives me crazy not being able to mow…but I will have to get over it and play catch up when I get them back.

The flower Nannie’s are out here GETTIN’ IT DONE! 🌸🌧️⚡

We planted through rain, thunder, and lightning today because dreams don’t grow from comfort zones. Now the sun finally popped out and we’ve got a window to get the last 8 flats in the ground! 🙌

So proud of Savahna. She’s one of the hardest workers I know, and little by little, row by row, she’s building the dream into reality. 🌱💐

One day these rows will be overflowing with blooms and families making memories in the fields… but today, it’s muddy boots, sore backs, and determination. And honestly? That’s the beautiful part too. 💛 Mya Lee Goodman.

Mark worked most of the day until he had to leave for a business trip. After he left, I cut down three Cedar trees in my orchard/park. They were causing fungal problems. The Cedars can produce a fungal disease caused by Gymnosporangium fungi. It requires two hosts to complete its life cycle:

* Eastern Red Cedar / Juniper trees
AND
* Apple or crabapple trees. The cedars can get orange spores and then those blow in the wind and infect nearby:

* apple trees
* crabapples
* hawthorns
* quince

What Happens to the Apple Tree?
The apple leaves develop:

* yellow/orange spots known as Iron Rust.

And I’m not sure if it could effect our flowers, but I wasn’t going to take any chance, and since the cedars boarded the flower field, I cut them down. It looks better already!

Savahna and I are wiped out. But it’s a good tired. We accomplished so much and it’s so nice working side-by-side with my funny daughter!

She talkes to her flowers..and tells funny stories. It was a great day at Goodman’s Greenbriar Farm & Flowers!!
