This forecart came with an office chair and I finally broke it last week. My repair mirrors the bench design I’ve seen on other logging carts. It makes for much more room on the platform and an easier time getting on and off. I also added a much needed toolbox. Still need to sort out a better way to secure a peavey. Another proud moment from the last week: You can now buy our produce at the South Acworth Store.

We couldn't think of a better place for our first professional relationship for selling produce.

Stop in for our garlic, tomatoes, summer squash, and zucchini, if there are any left!

Today’s adventures at a fun unique wedding in Vershire. Prince, Harry, Freya went and we needed them all for going up the hill to the ritual. We blew out the brakes on the first trip down, then drove up to the bar later for a great G&T.

Now we get a few weeks off which is good. I go back to my day job on Monday.

Hawk’s red tail matches horses’ coats.
Mares learning to rake
straight lines in the sun.
Rest now, quiet feet, don’t rub.

Hawk seeks mice and voles
we uncover in our raking.
Lunch for him, and the cycle of life continues
energy passed from one to another.
As for us. This hay feeds livestock for winter.
The livestock feeds us.

The quiet step of the horses disturbs none
and settles my soul.
Another pass, and another
until the job is done.
