First visit to The Flip Side Café, and y’all know I have a little test before I decide whether a breakfast spot deserves a return visit. 😂

Scrambled eggs with cheese actually scrambled IN, fresh blueberries in real buttermilk pancakes, crispy bacon, and coffee that keeps coming. ☕️🥞🥓

I’m not asking for much. Just get the basics RIGHT! 🤣

Well, Flip Side Café understood the assignment!

Tonight’s dinner came with a side of memories. ❤️

This was my first time making seared smothered pork chops with homemade onion gravy.

Somewhere between tasting the gravy and plating dinner, I found myself smiling… because I could almost hear my mom saying,

“Go ahead and make me a plate.”

Watching my grandma cook, learning from my mom, and spending my childhood watching PBS cooking shows… I guess I was paying attention all along.
