Starting in 2018, my daughter Ellie and I picked up the hobby of growing Atlantic Giant pumpkins. In 2019 we moved to a small farm in Charlotte where we established a large garden and a pumpkin patch. This pumpkin patch consisted of 8 plants covering 4000 sq ft. After a lot of research and many hours of work we were successful in growing 7 giant pumpkins. These pumpkin plants require a lot of preparation, hours of daily maintenance, a lot of fertilizer, and a lot of luck. We will not typically have any Atlantic Giants under 400 lbs.
At the end of season our largest pumpkins will go to competition, typically these competitions are around the end of September to early October. Our largest will be available for purchase after competition.
Beginning in 2020 we will be growing giants to order along with our competition pumpkins. If you would be interested in purchasing a pumpkin next year we will need to know as soon as possible so that we can make all preparations necessary. October is pumpkin season for most, however our season begins no later than April when seeds are started indoors.
If there is a particular size, shape, or color you are interested in we can do our very best to accommodate your needs. Certain seeds will have certain genetic traits but we can not guarantee what traits a pumpkin will have.
