What is Cakes and Crochet? Custom sugar cookies and cakes, beautifully decorated, should please the eye as well as the stomach. The vibrant icings, textured sugars, fondant decorations and other embellishments help tailor the designer look of each cookie and cake, while a delicious recipe adds the substance needed to please your taste buds. sugar cookies are available for local Charlotte delivery or pick-up and nationwide shipping. Since each batch of cookies is handmade prior to shipping, a minimum order of one dozen (12) sugar cookies per flavor and design is requested. Pricing is based on the size and amount of detail your cookies require. Prices typically range from $3.00 to $7.00 per cookie, plus the cost of shipping or delivery. Custom cakes are available for local Charlotte area delivery or pick up. Cake orders cannot be shipped. Custom-made cakes are priced individually. However, the base price of each cake begins with the serving size; cakes start at $3 per serving. I find that most clients choose designs that require additional labor and material costs. The final price varies from client-to-client depending on the complexity of the design. I am happy to work within your event budget and encourage you to contact me for a design appointment so that we can discuss your cake order. Since custom crochet items are extremely customizable and designed to each clients needs (colors, sizes, styles, rattles, squeakers, etc.) they are priced individually. In general, baby toys begin at $10, hats and scarfs begin at $25, and baby blankets and baskets begin at $50. What’s your payment policy? For all custom orders, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your order at least three weeks prior to your event; the remainder is due at least two weeks prior to your event (or shipping date). Your order is not confirmed until I have received your final design approval and 50% non-refundable deposit. Payment can be made by cash, Zelle or Venmo. Orders placed with less than two weeks notice require payment in full at the time of ordering. Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel your order, your balance payment is refundable provided that Cakes and Crochet is notified at least five (5) business days prior to the event (or shipping date). There is no payment refund on orders canceled within five (5) business days of the event (or shipping date). How do I order custom cookies, cakes or crochet? Please e-mail [email protected] with specific details about your shape and design ideas (photo reference welcome), the quantity of decorated sugar cookies or number of cake serving required, your shipping or delivery location (if applicable) and the exact date required for delivery. Also, please include your mobile phone number so that I may call you, if necessary, to confirm any outstanding details.
