Birdsong Brewing Company began in December 2011 in Charlotte NC out of a love for great beer and good conversation. We produce unfiltered, flavorful craft brews that are both balanced and representative of our fun and quirky brewery family. We are proud to be a part of the growing craft beer community in Charlotte! Once you come to Birdsong, you're as good as family. We are located in NoDa at 26th & North Davidson and we started retail distribution and tap room sales in December 2011. Our goal is to create outstanding beer, to have a low impact on the environment, and to create personal relationships and ties to the local community.

Sometimes you don’t have to say much to make a big impression. Big Stick is a hop-forward Double IPA loaded with juicy tropical fruit, bright citrus, and a little stone fruit swagger, backed by a smooth malt character that keeps things in check. 🍺

At 7.5% ABV, this one’s got some muscle—but it doesn’t need to make a scene.

Taproom pours start Thursday at 3 PM. Available on draft only, while this small batch lasts.

🌌🍺 Cosmic Ballet: A Toast to Dan Wade🍺🌌

Join us on Wednesday, October 21 at 6 PM at Birdsong Brewing for the release of Cosmic Ballet, a special collaboration b**r brewed in honor of our friend, Dan Wade.

This year’s Cosmic Ballet is a French Pilsner with Oak (4.2% ABV)—a crisp, refreshing b**r created through the collaboration of Charlotte’s brewing community to celebrate Dan’s passion for great b**r, mentorship, and bringing people together. ❤️

Every pint of Cosmic Ballet helps support the Dan Wade Memorial Scholarship which will send a future brewer to Appalachian State University for their Brewing Short Course in Summer 2028. It’s a way to carry Dan’s love of brewing forward by investing in the next generation of brewers.

What to Expect:

Paul delivers the b**r, jumps in with the production crew, tackles random facilities tasks, and generally keeps things rolling wherever he’s needed. Delivery guy? Yep. Production helper? You bet. Fix-it man? Probably. Paul’s basically our very own Swiss Army knife with a b**r truck. 🍻

We’re hosting our second annual Chili Cook Off on Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 3-5pm! 🗓️

Join us for some friendly competition and good eats! Amateur chili cooks are invited to cook their best chili. Bring it hot, bring it mild, with or without beans!

*This event is for amateurs only; no restaurants, businesses, or promotions allowed*

The winners will be awarded the following prizes:
🥇 1st Place: $50 Gift Card + Surprise Gift
🥈 2nd Place: $30 Birdsong Gift Card
🥉 3rd Place: $20 Birdsong Gift Card

👩‍🍳 HOW TO ENTER AS A CHILI COOK:
Pay $10 to enter.
- Bring at least 4 quarts (128 oz) of your homemade chili in (2) Half Size (11 3/4” x 9 3/8” x 2 9/16”) aluminum baking pans. You should have enough chili to serve a 2 oz sample to 60 people. ***Birdsong will provide chafing dish set up to keep your chili hot.
- Provide a list of possible allergies AND choose a currently-available Birdsong b**r that pairs best with your chili. Birdsong will provide serving utensils, cups and spoons for tasting.
- Chili must be hot and ready to serve.
- Limit 2 condiments.

🧑‍⚖️ HOW TO BE A CHILI TASTE TESTER:
Pay $10 at the door to receive a wristband. (you must have a wristband!)
- Wristband gets you unlimited samples AND one drink token.
- Taste each chili!

Meet Willow 🦮 Adoptable in Charlotte through Kal’s Pals Animal Rescue Animal Rescue!

Willow is just 9 months old! A sweet girl who loves walks and playing fetch (although she’s still learning the basics like returning the ball all the way back to you lol). A 40lb snuggle bug aka cuddly napping/movie watching partner. Willow is a curious girl who loves other dogs and is great with kids! When she’s not hanging outside, she’s laying on the couch with a good bone to pass the time. 🦴
