October is in full swing, and we’re coming at you with two brand new brews and an update on a classic. This Fresh Drop Friday is ready for you starting on October 9; Charlotte at 1 PM, Rocky Mount at 4 PM.

🫐 DARK BERRY BLENDER 🫐
Fruited Sour - 6.5% ABV
Not often we use nothing but fruit in our Blender Series, but we felt like it was time to go against the norm...kinda. Let’s be real, we used A LOT of berries in this one. Raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, boysenberry, and marionberry went into this jammy, tart beverage.
PRO TIP (while it lasts): grab a pour that’s two-thirds Dark Berry Blender...and one-third Blueberry Cheesecake Blender. Trust us, it works!

🌬 NORTH GALE 🌬
Baltic Porter - 7.8% ABV
It may look like a dark b**r, and have the style name of a dark b**r, but this high-powered l***r is perfect for this time of year. It’s getting a bit cooler, and this one can help warm ya up real quick. Hopped with Hersbrucker, it’s a bit roasty with notes of caramel and dark fruits.

🌫 THE HAZING 🌫
Hazy IPA - 7.5% ABV
Heeeeeeeeeeere’s the haze!!! We switched up the recipe a little bit this year and are quite happy about the update. Bright notes of mandarin orange and lime zest with undertones of blueberry and pineapple. Complex yet approachable. Don’t be afraid. Step into the haze.
HOPS: Comet. Mosaic. Motueka.

👋 HOPFLY 101: TEAM INTROS 👋

When you come into our taprooms, you see the hard of work of everyone involved. Behind the scenes, the glue that holds us all together, these are the people that bring our brand to another level. And if you've been to any kind of tap takeover or event, you probably have met this dude. If not, say hey to Casey, our sales manager since 2023. Originally from Bridgeport, NY, he's taken his b**r talents to so many places and we couldn't be more stoked to have him as part of the HopFly family. (Also, he's a man of few words in his interview. You'll see below.)

Tomorrow, October 4, the host Sunday Night Football for the first time since the 2015 season! Here's what we've got going on:

One more note: parking will be extremely limited in our lot tomorrow. We suggest taking an Uber, or enjoying a walk or scooter ride in the perfect fall weather. For those that park with us, we will have passes that need to be displayed, and are valid until 6 AM on Monday. (That's when our team starts showing up to make more delicious brews for you!)

Welcome to October. Leaves falling from the trees, cooler temperatures (hoodie weather is near), comfortable days, and chilly nights. The one thing that doesn't change? Fresh Drop Friday! Available this Friday, October 2:

🍎 APPLE COBBLER BLENDER 🍎
Oh yes. This is definitely a sign that fall has arrived. Conditioned on apples, cinnamon, vanilla, and marshmallow, we can't speak highly enough about how much we enjoy releasing this one!
Pastry Sour - 6.5% ABV

👻 GHOST 👻
West Coast Style IPA - 6.5% ABV
The start of the month of spooky, and we're just here for the boos. Another release we always look forward to, this westy blends old school vibes with a nice bitterness and piney quality with the new school citrus zest and pure drinkability.
HOPS: Citra. Amarillo. Cascade.

📝 NOTE TO SELF 📝
Hazy IPA - 6.5% ABV
Our notes: a quartet of delicious hops blended into something wonderful with notes of white w**e, tropical coconut, and a hint of floral orange blossom.
Your notes: drink more IPA.
HOPS: Sabro. Vic Secret. BRU-1. Dolcita.
SIDE NOTE: Because Charlotte got an exclusive release last week with our Brandt Bronico collab, The Mayor, this will be released in Rocky Mount and in distribution only. If you see it in the wild, make sure to enjoy!

HEYA, FOLKS! 👋
Our Charlotte taproom will be closing at 5 PM this Friday, September 25, for a private event. It will be open from 1-5 PM for all the new releases.

One last Fresh Drop Friday for the month of September, and the best part is two of these three are brand new b**rs in our ever-growing portfolio. Available Friday, September 25 at 1 PM in Charlotte (CLT taproom closes at 5 PM for a private event), 4 PM in Rocky Mount.

⚒️ FORGE ⚒️
Czech Style Pale L***r - 4.9% ABV
Our l***r program in Asheville, helmed by Ben who you met earlier this week, just keeps churning out hit after hit, and this one is no different. This decocted12-Plato Czech pale l***r uses all Riverbend malt and is hopped with Czech Saaz hops. Delightfully floral with a subtle spice and a nice snappy finish.

🛗 LIMINAL SPACE 🛗
Hazy IPA - 6.6% ABV
Despite the name, drinking this one in a crowded room is highly encouraged. But enjoying a pint relaxing at home is just as satisfying. With a very unique hop combination, we’re getting bright stone fruit, nectarine, and a hint of tropical papaya.
HOPS: Nectaron. Pink. Azacca.

🍍 PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE BLENDER 🍍
Fruited Sour - 6.5% ABV
Do we really need to explain this one? It’s exactly what you expect when you read the name. Conditioned on pineapple, cherry, vanilla, and marshmallow, it’s a creamy dessert treat with a well-balanced fruit kick up front.

🫡 THE MAYOR IS COMING! 🫡

We spent some time with Brandt Bronico recently, and came up with this year's version of The Mayor. For this iteration, it's a hazy IPA that's hopped with Vic Secret, Sabro, Dolcita, and BRU-1. Intensely tropical with wonderful stone fruit and orange zest notes, with the hop combo hand picked by the man himself.

We will be releasing The Mayor here in Charlotte on Saturday, September 26 at noon. Alongside this, we've got a whole bunch of fun stuff lined up, including multiple food trucks, live music, a Bronico haircut station, and Brandt Bronico autograph giveaways!

All of that leads up to the Charlotte FC match against Chicago on Saturday night. So come party all day with us.

👋 HOPFLY 101: TEAM INTROS 👋

On this wonderful Monday, we're back to highlight another member of our HopFly family. Please give a warm hello to Ben! Born and raised in Rocky Mount (our original home as well), he joined the team about 2 years ago after being an integral part of the b**r scene back home, working at places like Koi Pond and Larema. Now he's splitting time brewing between our Charlotte location and bringing the love of l***rs to our new Asheville location.

FAVORITE MOVIE: Twister...the 90's one.
FAVORITE MUSICIAN: I like jammy guitar and groovy organs. Lots of love to go around for that.
NOT-SO-LITTLE KNOWN FACT: "I like b**rs."
FAVORITE PASTTIMES: Making tacos with my wife, Casey.
PETS: Yerp. 2 dogs, Marlow and Molly.
