Nomad PlovHouse is inspired by "Plov", an ancient rice dish that Alexander the Great discovered in the Central Asian region as early as 4th Century BCE. So impressed with the dish, he took knowledge of the recipe and spread it throughout Eurasia; eventually, local regions eventually adopted their own variations of the rice dish, such as the "paella" and "biryani". The name "Nomad" is an homage to

the dish's nomadic nature, which fed vast armies and communities throughout history. Today, the mission of Nomad PlovHouse is to introduce this ancient dish to the American public and to eventually become a mainstay in your cuisine choice. This delicious yet delicate mixture of rice, carrots, and choice of meat is a dish everyone can truly enjoy. Thank you for choosing Nomad and letting us serve you!
