I can remember back as early as 9 or 10 years old and wanting to help my Uncle Sam bake Peanut Butter Cookies… that’s when my love of baking began! I began baking for family and friends from scratch in my teenage years in my hometown of Charleston, SC. I would bake homemade apple pies and Charleston Chewies, for my high school sweetheart… umm; I think my baking is why he proposed! I just baked wit
h lots of love like we did with everything in Charleston and I feel my customers can definitely taste the difference. Well, not only did my love of baking grow but I continued to receive encouragement from those who enjoyed my baking. My supporters encouraged me to start selling my custom made desserts. Of course, the next step was to take a few cake decorating classes to ensure my cakes were both pleasing to the eyes as well as the palate. Those classes confirmed the peace and joy I feel when baking for others and my mind was made up that I really wanted to pursue baking for others as a business.
