23-03's due date was the 15th, but calf 26-03 graced us with her presence a little early. We didn't get any comedic pics of me hurredly carrying the baby across the field while Brendan yelled "She's coming in hot!!!" talking about mom right on my tail. They're settled into the maternity ward for some quality alone time and bonding for the next few days.

More adorable pics to follow in the coming days when we snuggle the 💩 out of her cute little face.

The irregular shape of this cut sometimes intimidates people. Consistent cooking throughout is impossible, but it is perfect for sharing when no one at the table likes the same doneness!

Mama Bacon and her babies got moved to a larger deep bedding pen today. They will stay here until they are fully weaned and their summer pasture is ready. It was hard to narrow down the photos/videos for this reel because I had so much fun laying in their pen!!! 📸🎥

How (some) babies are made on our farm. We've talked about the importance of genetics ad nauseam -- today we put our money where our mouths are and got soaked working 7 lovely ladies through the chute to start their AI process.
