Amount of rain needed to end drought conditions in 2 months varies from 8.5 to 11.5" in north country up to 12.75" to 13.5" southern Maine and NH.

Yes, there has been recent improvement in the groundwater drought, but looking at precip from last June to now the deficit is still substantial.

More baby chicks hatching out this week. We've got a bunch in our brooder...barred rocks, olive eggers, marans, and these cute little barnyard mixes from colored egg layers (cream-legbar roo crossed with various colored egg laying hens.) They'll join our organic flock soon! :)

It's a lot of work coming out of those shells...

As always, our returning CSA members from 2025 have their shares reserved. Many of our members have been with us for years, and we keep their spots set aside. We’ll be in touch and can square up the details later.
