Bisque is Back Baby!! After months of record high tomato prices, we are finally back!! We made a nice 45 gallon batch of Tomato Bisque today! It is back available on the website and we will have it at the farmer's markets this weekend. You may not think it's soup season, but there's nothing better on a rainy summer day or even just a chilly office or home than Tomato Bisque and a grilled cheese sandwich!!

With fresh tomatoes starting to make an appearance one of my favorite (and QUICK) meals to throw together is this pasta dish!

I take 4 good sized tomatoes and set them in a pan whole. Add in diced onion and garlic and a splash of broth or wine. Cover and let simmer until the tomatoes are mush and you can pull the skin off them. I like to add ground beef, but you can also do sausage or ground chicken - whatever your protein of choice is! Once it’s almost done cooking I add a generous amount of the spice blend from and let it simmer while the pasta cooks! Oh yea start some water and boil some pasta while this is all happening! Once pasta is done strain, and add to the pan with some Parmesan cheese, give it a good stir and enjoy! If you’d like to add some more veggies spinach is a wonderful addition!
