Every seat tells a story. Every voice brings value. Every perspective makes us better.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s GAAN Summit a meaningful reminder that true leadership starts by making room at the table for others.

We’re still reflecting on an inspiring two days at the GAAN Summit earlier this month.
This year’s theme, “A Seat at the Table,” captured an important part of the leadership journey: it’s not only about earning a seat, but also about maintaining it, helping others reach the table, and creating a vision for what comes next.

Through meaningful networking and powerful guest speakers, we were reminded that a seat at the table is both an opportunity and a responsibility. As leaders, we must make space for others, amplify new perspectives, and help build a future where more people can contribute and thrive.

Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make this year’s summit so impactful. We look forward to carrying these conversations, and this vision, forward.

Today we honor — Freedom Day. 🖤❤️💚

On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally heard the words that changed everything: You are free. This was more than two months after the Civil War had ended.

This year, marks 161 years since that moment. And today, we pause to remember, reflect, and celebrate the resilience of Black Americans whose strength and culture continue to shape this nation.

GAAN stands in solidarity and celebration today and every day. ✊🏾

“For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.” — Nelson Mandela

Blooms are the reward for seasons of unseen work. The roots strengthened, the barriers cleared, the care given consistently over time.
This is the season where growth becomes visible.
Where excellence shines.
Where collective effort blossoms.
WE are the blooms.
WE are the fruit.
Together, we grow.
Tag someone whose growth you want to celebrate 🌸

Strong roots matter, but no plant thrives without water and sunlight.
Thurgood Marshall’s legacy reminds us that mentorship and support are not extras; they are essential to growth. Much of that care happens quietly, long before success becomes visible.
Together, we grow by supporting one another even when the work isn’t seen.

Katherine Johnson’s impact wasn’t limited by talent, it was delayed by barriers that had nothing to do with her ability.
Her legacy reminds us that growth isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes, it’s about clearing the path so excellence has room to lead.
Together, we grow when we remove obstacles for ourselves and for one another.
What “weed” are you pulling this week? 🌿
