Oenoverse got invited to do something really special. Curating Virginia wines for the very first Charlottesville Filipino Spring Festival 🇵🇭🍷

Huge love to Melissa Williams for sharing her Filipino heritage in such a vibrant, thoughtful way, choosing wines from Lightwell Survey and Common Wealth Crush that absolutely showed up next to all that incredible food.

The music was on, the food was next level, Filipino beer was flowing, and IX Art Park felt like one big, joyful gathering with friends, family, new faces, and everyone in between.

Even Charlottesville’s mayor pulled up!

Live traditional and contemporary dance performances, music, a festive marketplace with food vendors, artists, crafters, and local businesses. All free, all ages, all afternoon into the evening.⁠

April is here, and so is one of Virginia wine’s most meaningful nights✨

The Generous Pour ( ) brings together winemakers from across the state for a walk-around tasting, followed by a live auction packed with once-in-a-lifetime wine experiences.

We’re especially proud to share that Oeno Camp, our immersive Virginia wine journey through Oenoverse and is one of this year’s benefactors. Your support helps open doors, create access, and shape the future of wine.

Proceeds also support incredible organizations doing vital work across our community, including The Free Clinic, The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, and WRE.

So proud of our friends, and fellow Two Up Wine Down curators➡️ Jen Anderson and Karl Kuhn of Novella for landing VinePair’s Winemakers to Watch in 2026 list 🥂

Born from years in the D.C. wine world and rooted right here in Virginia, Novella is a new venture built on curiosity, craft, and a deep love of place. After meeting at RdV (now Lost Mountain Vineyards) and jumping into harvest life, Jen and Karl launched their label through Common Wealth Crush with just 100 cases of a bright, mineral-driven Petit Manseng from the 2024 vintage, and they’re already expanding into Cabernet Franc rosé, with sparkling and red cuvées on the horizon.

This is exactly what Two Up Wine Down is about: bold new voices, thoughtful wines, and the future of Virginia wine unfolding in real time. Cheers to what’s next, Novella 🍇💫

We’re incredibly proud to stand as a community partner in Virginia wine alongside 🫶🏽✨

Together, we’ve built powerful, people-driven experiences through Oeno Camp and Two Up Wine Down, creating space for underrepresented voices, emerging wine professionals, and new curators shaping the future of the industry.

To date, we’ve welcomed 40 Oeno Camp grantees from across the U.S. and engaged hundreds of curators through Two Up Wine Down. All in celebration of Virginia wineries, inclusive storytelling, and community-forward wine culture.

We’re thrilled to see The Veraison Project receiving the recognition they so deeply deserve from and the 🏆🌸

And this is only the beginning. The work continues, and we’re stronger together 💐🥂
