So many of our guests have asked… who is Rumi?

Jalal ad-Din Muhammad “Rumi” was a Persian poet and teacher from the 13th century. His poetry is full of meaningful lessons about wisdom and life. His writings help us understand the depths of our minds, to identify and focus on our most important goals and values.

Our favorite excerpt below, “Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you truly love. It will not lead you astray”.

We built Rumi’s Famous Kebab so that we could fullfill our dream and bring Persian hospitality to Charlottesville. 🧡💙🧡💙

Our Mantu is filled with seasoned beef and onions, which are bedded in a tender dough wrap and topped with a red sauce, drizzled with an herby yogurt sauce & garnished with cilantro.
