Bellair Farm CSA Bellair Farm is a diversified vegetable and livestock farm located near Charlottesville, VA.

We grow vegetables without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides, and we raise chickens, hogs, and cattle on pasture using rotational grazing systems. Bellair Farm CSA is located on historic Bellair Farm, 900 beautiful acres just south of Charlottesville, Va. Our goal is to connect our member families to the land, their food and their farmer. We grow 50 different types of veggies on 25 acr

es in addition to some fruit and flowers all under strict adherence to the organic standards. In addition to the veggies, we also have chickens for eggs and meat and pigs on the farm. We sell to restaurants and at farmer's markets, but our main focus is our CSA. Our CSA operates on a self-serve principle that allows our members to choose what goes into their share every week. In addition to that share, our members are welcome to enjoy the acre+ of Pick-Your-Own crops, our annual farm festivals and our Saturday activities designed to educate the community about sustainable agriculture. Join CSA member, Gabby Gammon, for a hands-on fermentation workshop at Bellair Farm’s first Second Saturday event of the year on June 13th!

Drawing on two years of experience fermenting vegetables (including all the CSA veggies grown right at Bellair Farm), Gabby will guide you through the basics of transforming fresh, seasonal produce into flavorful, gut-friendly ferments.

In this class, you’ll learn the foundations of fermentation, including salt ratios, safe practices, and flavor-building techniques. Whether you’re brand new or looking to refine your skills, you’ll leave with the confidence to start fermenting at home—and a deeper connection to the food grown right here on the farm.

Come ready to taste, learn, and get your hands involved in the process. Never get tired of greens season again!

Plant Walk! Join Little Bluestem for an early summer wander around Bellair lands. Topics we may get into include plant identification, ecological relationships among species, edible and medicinal aspects of wild plants, considerations around seed collection and cultivation, and more. After the walk, you're invited to check out our table with local genotype native seed mixes and other Little Bluestem merch for sale.

As usual, our walking trails and the pick-your-own field will be open as well as our barn store with Bellair produce and other local berries, mushrooms, cheeses, dairy, grains, and more!

We're already looking forward to our June events!

Help us kick off our first Bellair “After Hours” of the season! Join Bellair crew and friends for good food, dancin,’ swingin,’ and good company!

An evening at the farm featuring Dogwood & Thistle Wine, Run Punch Jamiacan Restaurant, & Boot Scoot Square Dance Party - June 12th from 5-8pm.

This is a FREE event and open to the public. If you would like to participate in the Square Dance we ask that you buy a ticket online or in-person. If you are coming to simply enjoy the wine tasting, food, and farm, no ticket needed.

Our CSA season is here! We are thrilled to provide veggies to over 600 Cville area households so that they can have plates that look like this!
