🪢DRAFT AND CAN RELEASE🪢

It’s back! And this time we have cans! ‘Knotty By Nature’ West Coast IPA returns today! Inspired by the modern IPAs our brewers enjoy whenever they visit the West Coast, ‘Knotty By Nature’ is hyper pale in color, with clean but pronounced bitterness, aggressive hop character, and a dry finish. Built on a base of Pilsner malt, We hopped this one hot-side with Citra, Mosaic, and copious amounts of Simcoe. After fermentation was complete, we dumped in truly heinous levels of Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra, and Nectaron.

We’re getting notes of zesty tangerine, heady dankness, pithy tropical fruits, ripe stonefruit, & hanging out on the sunny patio of your favorite IPA-centric California brewery.

Lovers of foam rejoice! ‘Coat Czech,’ our Czech-style 12° pale lager, has returned to a LUKR faucet in our taproom. Inspired by the many pale lagers our brewers drank during their travels around Pilsen & Prague, we’d like to think our Světlý Ležák is about as Czech as you can get without a plane ticket.

Brewed utilizing a double decoction mash regimen, floor-malted Moravian Pilsner malt, Czech-grown Saaz hops, and a classic Czech lager strain, ‘Coat Czech’ is built around an obsessive dedication to bringing some of the magic of Bohemian lagers to our community. After a couple of lengthy brew days, we fermented this golden crusher cold and slow, then lagered it for twelve weeks until it approached something close to the ever-elusive pitelnost. Unfined and 100% naturally carbonated, ‘Coat Czech’ pours with a deep golden color capped by rich white foam. As with all our Czech-inspired beers, we’ll be serving this one three different ways: Hladinka, Šnyt, and Mlíko.

We get notes of honey-dipped graham crackers, spicy white pepper, savory herbs, freshly baked baguette, and the romance of knocking back Hladinky and Šnyty of golden-hued lager all night.

BEST IN SHOW🏆

Batiste, our Bavarian-style pils, took home gold in the Pilsner category and Best in Show against beers from breweries all across Virginia during Monday night’s Virginia Craft Beer Cup.

Huge congratulations to Josh and Zac, our brewing team, who work incredibly hard to make our beers what they are —we’re so darn proud of them🥹

And cheers to our Charlottesville neighbors Rockfish Brewing Company decipher Brewing and SuperFly Brewing Co. who also took home medals. Safe to say it was a great night for Charlottesville beer🍻

Batiste is on tap now, and we’ll be pouring it from the Stichfass Friday at 3pm.
