Scratched up this 1/10 acre plot with the dethatcher in preparation for our native prairie project. Frost seeding is the next step. This has been a long road of preparation and will be a multi year commitment. This area is unproductive for our sheep so we decided to do our part and seed it in pollinator and bird loving perennial native meadow species. Hopefully with the security of the white pines and neighbor’s spruce’s it will be a haven for birds in the winter.
