Moses Mill Farm, LLC We believe in good food and good stewardship. To this end, our animals are raised on green pasture, fresh air, sunshine, & premium, non-GMO feeds.

Be enriched by the best meats, artisan soaps & body products, and authentic farm experiences you can find! Moses Mill Farm was established in 1872 by the Moses family, who also purchased the historic gristmill adjacent to the farm on Cherrystone Creek. The gristmill washed away in a flood in the 1940s, but the farmhouse and the old barn still stand and are in use today. In its 140-year history, the farm has only passed through a few families' hands and has produced grains, vegetables, and meats. At Moses Mill Farm, we raise animals in the way that we consider to be right and good. We believe that God calls us to be good stewards: to treat animals humanely, to conserve precious resources, to waste not. In accordance with this belief, we ensure that our animals get plenty of fresh air and sunshine. They have lots of space to call their own, and they are moved to fresh pasture frequently. They eat bugs and grass and non-GMO feed. Their wastes nourish the pasture. They are never given artificial hormones or antibiotics, and they live healthy and happy lives. The result of all of this personal and loving effort is GOOD FOOD. We supply our friends, family, and local community with the highest quality pork, beef, chicken, and eggs available, plus a few vegetables here and there. We also offer fresh compost that is made from the town of Chatham's shredded leaves, our animals' good manure, and the tireless efforts of earthworms, microbes, and a little time and oxygen. Experience eggs so rich in nutrients that their yolks are bright orange. Savor the rich flavor of grass-fed beef, foraged pork, and pastured poultry. We LOVE agritourists! We had sooooo much fun hosting Elvis and LuLu for a farm tour and a tour of our 1872 farmhouse. Here they are doing their Chicken Boy impression in the B&B. 😁 Elvis and LuLu are planning their own farming enterprise and learned a lot about breeds, feeds, and fencing today. They plan to come back to take a soap-making class soon.

It’s our last day for the season at the Danville Community Market! Come stock up on soaps and soup bones today. It has been such an awesome season that we are sold out of most of our meats—call us if you need pork roasts/butts, soup bones, or body products.
