UPDATE!!!
My son at the age of 4 years old was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of brain cancerGBM grade 4. He won that battle 13 year’s later he was diagnosed with CKD stage 3 , liver disease, and his lung disease he was doing ok until this past October he started getting more lung infection and pneumonia.
In December he got really sick and we thought it was another pneumonia he went into the hospital in January of this year they tested him for everything he even had a bone marrow biopsy. When we got the test results back he was diagnosed with high risk MDS blood cancer of the bone marrow. We were told that he was not a candidate for stem cell transplant because of all the organs that were already damaged from his treatments from chemotherapy and radiation as a child. They also told us that this would progress to Acute Myeloid Leukemia rapidly.
He couldn’t start chemotherapy because it would further damage the organs more. So we came home he was now on full time oxygen his eosinophil counts getting higher the steroids didn’t help. He went back into the hospital towards the end of March a two week stay at Emory While there he had to have a bronchoscopy done because the lungs kept getting worse and we had to keep going up on the oxygen he needed.
When the results came back they told us that he had eosinophil lung disease and PAP lung disease. There is no cure for the the PAP other than lung washes and his body couldn’t handle those he wouldn’t have survived those. The eosinophils and the PAP was being fueled by the Leukemia and it just attacked the lungs.
Medically there was nothing else they could do for my son. We got to bring him home on hospice on Easter 4/5/26 and sadly he passed away on 4/8/26. 💔😭💔😭💔😭💔
Please continue to pray for us as we navigate life without our son. I will post when I start baking again please don’t give up on me he was my world my only child that God allowed us to raise for 30 years.
All he wanted was for everyone to know Jesus so we can all be in heaven together so if you don’t know Jesus it’s the best decision you could ever make.
