Well having these chicks all hatch at different times has been challenging. These two were brought back inside, as the other six chicks are much bigger and trampoling them. Which took a toll on the little gray one. Its pretty weak, but already showing inprovement and willing to stand.

Did I mention, we were NOT wanting to hatch chicks this year. Yet, here we are trying to keep them alive.

We did give up on the other 11 eggs and that sucks, cause we havr no idea if they were going to hatch or not.

Thank God the husband picked this incubater up at a yard sale for $15 or none of them would have made it.

Anyways, send us prayers as we continue our brooding season we tried to avoid.

🩶 Rabbit, Rabbit 🩶

Its been 18 days since Justin came and helped us process our first rabbits. When he came over, he brought his buck to breed the does. We know for sure Iris here was bred, but Poppy is just a maybe. So, in about about 10 days we will introduce the nesting boxes and see what happens.

Put the little chick in the brooder, and was immediately accepted into the chicky huddle. I will grab a pic of them tomorrow. For now, I am so pleased with our new little flock of chickies 🥹🩶🐣

It hatched...

After a very rough night sleep, I woke up to this wee thing hobbling around.

Don't feel like I slept much, but must push through and get ready for work.

This afternoon, we will introduce this chick to the others in the brooder.

Then we will see if any of the other 11 eggs are gonna hatch 🐣

I have been watching this chick work so hard to hatch today. It is finally breaking through more and more. It is facinating to watch life be born.

Slow and steady little one, I will see you in the morning 🩶
