Good morning everyone!

After a week in Alabama, I woke up in my own bed and am enjoying coffee with the husband in our recliners.

While gone husband has been working on moving dirt in the driveway, making more room to park and turn around. However, it is so dusty. Sooo dusty.

So, today's agenda is dusting, going to Stateline for desiel, washing bedding, doing laundry, painting one of the gates husband made, and then putting Felix in with the does for the first fall rabbit breeding with our new buck.

I work tomorrow morning and its back to the grind for me, but this week we will be shuffling the goats and sheep around as we prepare for breeding season.

But for now, coffee and more of that delicious biscotti before all the madness.

For those of you that know Rhonda, you know she is known for her scones and biscotti. Well, just her baking in general.

She made sure to make me some fresh biscotti on my last night, so we can have them with coffee before I leave to fly home tomorrow.

These are Carmel Maciatto Biscotti and they look and smell delicious.

Did you know that biscotti means twice baked?

The word comes from the Medieval Latin biscoctus, which means "twice-cooked" or "twice-baked"

Can wait for my morning coffee and fresh biscotti. I think I can actually make them now!

Good afternoon!

Its that time of year where it is getting cold and freezing in many areas already. Here is your yearly reminder that goats do NOT need jackets or heat lamps. I know it sounds harsh, but if you offer them any heat lamps or jackets, you are depleting them of the ability to accumulate to the weather.

Goats are more resilient than you might think. All they need is a 3 sided draft free shelter, deep bedding, 24 hour access to hay and minerals, and of course fresh water.
