Mulberry Lane Dairy Goats

We attended the Premier Livestock Classic in Bloomington, IL last week for their ADGA show and we had a great time! It was a lovely show and was ran very well!

All the girls did well but most notable was Mulberry Lane RLS Phat Patty. She was 1st place dry yearling AOP and went on to be the AOP Jr. Champion! Judge Ed Jodlowski commended her for her substance of bone, width and depth of body, and rib spacing. He went on to say she's an exeptionally large doe but still retains those dairy characteristics he was looking for. I am so proud of this homebred doe and can't wait to see her kids next year.

Patty will be bred to Patteran Landslide Verify this fall! I've included the planned pedigree below.

We've had a busy few weeks, and I'm a bit late in posting show results, but I still wanted to share! We went to the Fisher Community Fair for their ADGA show and had such a great time! Our purebred Saanens had a great day and brought home Jr. Champion and Reserve Jr. Champion! These girls got us our first ADGA ribbons!

We were at the Iroquois County Fair this week and showed a few girls in their open dairy goat show! It's not sanctioned but still a fun show that we enjoy going to every year! Our son made his showring debut in the peewee showmanship class as well! We had a great day even though it was HOT.

We have some lovely yearling PUREBRED Saanens available. One yearling buck and 2 yearling does. We have to cut down on numbers and have had to make some really tough decisions. Our loss is your gain! I can send additional pictures upon request.

We had another doe freshen yesterday! This breeding was Quarter Mile Eureka's Echo x Legacy Hill Soul Valentine (AKA: Tony) and resulted in a lovely single doeling! She is being retained for now.

Echo is our oldest doe in the herd and is an 8 year old 6th freshener! Echo offers length of body, lovely movement, and exceptional dairy character. I love her long, elegant neck! Unfortunately, I don't have many nice pictures of her. Most of my photos of her are from my younger brother showing her. She's his favorite doe to show for 4H!

Tony has really stamped his kids with some beautiful breed character. Those ears are to die for!

These are our only kids sired by Tony this year. The rest of our does are due to freshen in May/June. These include 3 purebred Nubian does bred to Quarter Mile Mango H***h and 1 purebred Saanen doe bred to Mulberry Lane RLS Smoke Bomb.

One of my most anticipated breedings, Hidden Rose Honey Bea x Legacy Hill Soul Valentine (AKA: Tony), broke my heart last night with a lovely, single buckling. I swear Bea is testing me at this point but my loss is your gain! This buckling is available on the bottle. He will be ready to go as soon as he's disbudded, tattooed, and given CD&T.

His dam, Bea, offers some lovely general appearance, breed character, and an attractive mammary. Her Goldthwaite genetics really shine through!

Tony's pedigree is nothing to scoff at. His dam has her milk star pending and she has done well in the show ring. His sire is none other than CH(pending) *B Blissberry Amen Brutha, son of SGCH Blissberry RH Vallelujah 7*M EX 93!! Tony brings lovely mammaries and structural correctness to the table.

This buckling is a lovely mix of those western genetics and would be a lovely addition to your herd!
