This is the last local generation of Monarch butterflys for the season.
They will fatten up, form a chrysalis, then morph into the butterfly and head South.
Some to Florida and some to Mexico.

Sometimes I get inspired by current events in the news.

A POEM:
When Christians begin to Hate.
1st Calvary Division.
Onward Christians Soldiers playing in the background:

It was not how they viewed His blood,
It came to them very late,
With a long time of turning cheek to make good,
When the Soldiers began to hate.
They were not easily offended ,
They kept cool -- willing to wait
Till every attack should be attended,
Thus the Soldiers began to hate.
Their voices were evenly measured,
There was nothing said aloud,
Their eyes were clearly treasured.
When the Soldiers began to hate.
They did not preach to the crowd.
They were not approved by the state.
No man spoke it aloud
When the Soldiers began to hate.
It was not accidentally formed.
They responded to the hate.

Kathy convinced me to replace my old, nasty boots. She talked me into going to Rockford, MI and shopping at the Wolverine Shoewear Depot.
They had a special deal. Buy one at their already-discounted price, and get two more half off.
I got one new Bates boot for $110 (140 on Amazon), a Caterpillar Wellington off their discount rack for half of their $99 price, and some slip-on shoes for $30-ish. Then, the cashier guy asked if I was a veteran and gave me another 10% off the total.
I'm a genius for listening to her.
