5 years ago, we had to completely re-build the original bathroom. Covid prices for lumber was crazy. A single 2x4 was $10.
We found a sawmill and bought rough cut boards. The price for a 2x6 was about $3.50 so everything we fixed was over-built.

FLOOD UPDATE !!!!

Lots of high water in the area, but not very close to us. Downtown Cheboygan is a hot spot with the dam almost overflowing. Hope it doesn't breach and be catastrophic.
Nearby Little Black River has some reported breaches of levees and dams. That is 15 or 20 miles from us.
NOTE: Breach refers to a hole in the wall or puncture of the dam.
That is not the same as the deep water flowing over the top, which is also a nuisance.
Our home is 5 or 6 miles from the danger zone, no problem for us.
