🌱 We're Hiring – Seasonal Vegetable Production Team Member 🌱
Full-Time or Part-Time | Starting at $20/hour
We are looking for a dependable seasonal team member to to fill an immediate opening in our vegetable production crew for the remainder of the growing season (season completion date is flexible).
We're a small, local farm that takes pride in growing exceptional vegetables for our local community. We believe the best work comes from people who enjoy being active, take ownership of what they do, and care about doing things well. Whether planting a bed, harvesting vegetables, or washing produce, every task contributes directly to the quality our customers experience.
What You'll Do
You'll be involved in nearly every aspect of vegetable production, including:
Seeding and transplanting
Hand weeding and crop maintenance
Harvesting vegetables
Washing, packing, and preparing produce for market
General farm and field work as needed
Every day brings different priorities, but every day is hands-on and active.
What to Expect
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty.
The work is physically active but not unusually strenuous. Instead, it requires consistency. Many tasks involve repetitive motions over extended periods of time—you may spend several hours harvesting, transplanting, weeding, washing produce, or packing vegetables. The ability to stay focused and maintain a productive pace while paying attention to detail is essential.
You should expect to:
Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, wind, and rain.
Spend the day standing, walking, bending, kneeling, or crouching.
Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the day.
Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Work around dirt, mud, insects, and changing weather conditions.
Farming is also highly seasonal and weather-dependent. Crops don't wait, and neither does the weather. Because of that, reliability matters. We understand that everyone occasionally needs time away from work, but during the growing season our team depends on one another. Consistent attendance, punctuality, and good communication are essential.
Who We're Looking
Successful applicants will have previous experience in a physically active or manual labor position. Experience in any of the following is preferred:
Farming or vegetable production
Greenhouse or nursery work
Landscaping
Construction
Grounds maintenance
Forestry or tree work
Warehouse, manufacturing, or production work
Other physically demanding occupations
Equivalent experience is welcome. The specific industry is less important than having demonstrated success in a physically active, hands-on work environment.
The ideal candidate is someone who:
Has a proven record of dependable attendance and punctuality.
Takes ownership of their work and follows through on responsibilities.
Works independently without needing constant direction.
Notices what needs to be done and takes initiative.
Can maintain both quality and efficiency throughout the day.
Pays attention to detail and takes pride in doing things the right way.
Has a positive attitude and enjoys contributing to a small team.
Our Philosophy
We believe the best work is both efficient and thoughtful.
Working efficiently doesn't mean rushing. It means working with purpose, staying engaged, and producing consistently high-quality results. We value employees who think ahead, care about the outcome of their work, and are always looking for ways to improve.
If you're someone who enjoys accomplishing tangible work each day and wants to be part of a team that values dependability, initiative, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.
