Cattle Highlight Pt 5

🤩 Meet Rose 🌹

Rose has a unique story here at Jehovah Jireh Ranch. She was the 2nd cow out in our field upon arriving in Oklahoma. Pearl was the only lady out in the. Field at that point. Buddy and Lefty had not yet been purchased and returned to the land. Betsy and the young bull “Gizmo” who came with here were only about 4 months old and were being kept in the barn so that they could get used to the boys before turning them out.

We woke up on the morning of 12/18/2023 to Rose standing in the driveway…quite a new and unexpected experience for us coming from city life in the PNW…

Me, knowing nothing of what to do I. Such a situation, called the police 1st (last thing I wanted was to be involved in cattle theft 😳) I explained the situation and that I had NO IDEA where she came from or what to do. I moved her into the field at their direction and waited to be contacted by someone the dispatcher said was going to reach out to me and could help me.

He was able to help me locate her owner who had been trying to sell her, but the people who were supposed to come get her kept flaking. I offered her the money they were going to pay for her and I’d just keep her.

Rose has given us 2 BEAUTIFUL calves now with our beautiful Buddy. The first was a little bull calf “Thunder” born 10/31/2024 (whom we traded for a beautiful black simangus heifer “20”) and this last year she gave us a beautiful little heifer calf “Lucy” on 9/28/25.

She has been a great girl for us since the beginning!

🥳🎉Meet Heaven!!!

Heaven is a beautiful little heifer calf who was born on 1/5/26 here at JJ Ranch! She is our 2nd baby of 2026 🎉

Heaven is the first baby that 7 has delivered here at JJ Ranch. Seeing the beautiful babies that she (7) has produced in the past we are extremely excited to see how Heaven grows out!! Her sire is a big black baldy that is not on our ranch, so she is new genetics 🥳 she is very sweet and has such a beautiful dark color! I can’t wait to see what she brings to JJ Ranch 🥰

7 is a commercial angus cross cow. She is also the dam to our beautiful Ruby!! She arrived here at JJ Ranch already bred on 10/12/25.

On 1/5/26 she gave us a beautiful new years gift by delivering JJ Ranch’s 2nd calf of 2026! She gave us a beautiful little heifer calf named “Heaven!” We are beyond excited to have her here on the ranch and are excited to see what comes next for her!

Cattle Highlights Pt 2

Meet Ruby 💥

Ruby joined us here at JJ Ranch 05/23/24. These are the photos of when she first arrived! She is such a beautiful girl!!! She has grown out BEAUTIFULLY! She was bred to our Simmental “Buddy” and she calved her very first calf being our 1st calf of the year, on 01/03/26 she gave us a BEAUTIFUL lil bull calf Copper😍

We have anxiously been awaiting this little calf to see what the dynamite 🧨 production that this gorgeous well built girl would give us with our handsome Buddy, and ooooo boy they did not disappoint!

She will be bred back to Buddy in the next few months and am excited to see what they throw us next year!

We have also acquired Ruby’s mom (“7”) here at JJ Ranch and she arrived (bred) on 10/12/25 😍 She will be featured in our next cattle highlight 🥰

Cattle Highlights Pt1

Meet “Copper” 🎉

Update on our first baby cow of 2026 😍

Copper was born 1/3/26. He is the 1st calf out of our beautiful “Ruby”

Unfortunately he is a little bull calf, so he will not be a permanent resident here at JJ Ranch, but oh boy is he a cutie! Super personable! He follows the boys around mooing at them, and he so badly wants to play with Red Dog (Ruby however, is completely against that 🤣)

Ruby arrived on the ranch 5/23/24 as a young heifer. She is beautiful! She came out of a commercial Red angus cross (“7”) that consistently puts out stout bodied dark red calves 😍

We eventually acquired “7” and she arrived on the ranch (already bred) on 10/12/25. So, Copper makes the 3rd Generation of that line here at JJ Ranch

Copper will grow out and stay at Ruby’s side until he is at least 205 days old, then he will go to his new home to be a herd sire for murdockclark (Patty Clark) and “Clark’s Critters” 🥰😍 We are excited that he will stay “in the family” and I am excited to see what he brings to her herd!
